G-Funk Legend Nate Dogg Dead at 41 - Amplifier

Nate Dogg was a huge part of my childhood. As the singing voice of Long Beach's version of hip hop, he played a major role in the soundtrack of my formative years. He also was a major influence in my singing style. We've lost a giant, in my eyes.

I remember hearing that he had two serious strokes, about 4 years ago. I also heard that he had a drinking problem, but that was just through the grapevine. Still, it was a shocker to hear that the dude is dead.

RIP Nate Dogg

I remember hearing on the radio one day that he was chasing a girl (Tamala Jones?) down the freeway and rambling incoherently. Apparently he has been losing his mind for a little while now

Lame. I tried to be a hard core gangsta back in the day, and Nate Dogg was one of the guys I looked up to.
