RIP NYC Mayor Ed Koch
 

I was not around yet when he was in office, but I'm sure Mr. Koch was one great mayor, having served for three consecutive terms. I am also told by my parents, he did his best for the city during hard times. May he rest in peace

Ed was a good guy, and he did do what he thought was best for New York, which is all you can really ask of anyone.

As a Brit, the only thing I 'know' about Ed Koch, is that he was booed by the crowd at Simon and Garfunkels Concert in Central Park, during Paul Simons 'thank you to the police dept, fire dept...' speech.

Or am I imagining this? And New Yorkers care to verify? :)
