That's terrible. I knew he was sick, but didn't realize that it was so far advanced.

Uh, I'll just say RIP, and leave it at that.

However; I do wonder how far along he was when he announced that he had cancer, because his death was kinda sudden.

He's been battling cancer for a few years. I does seem that he went pretty fast after resigning as press secretary. I did enjoy his debates... he had a quick wit and mucho presence.

It's a bummer that he died (as it is when anyone dies), but personally, I'm not too put out about it. Can't really say more, as per TB rules, so I'll just say I'm not a big fan of complicity.

I have always found it curious that people would seem less compassionate about a person's death when all they know about them is their political affiliation. Doesn't say much for the society in my opinion.

Not as bad as when all they know about a person is their skin color.

Perception is reality.

I'm saddened by Tony's death just about as much as I'd be saddened by Gene Simmons death. Do I know anything about these people from personal, first hand experience? No. But I am aware of how they have presented themselves to the world, and I'm entitled to base my judgement on them as such. It says nothing about society at all - that's just human nature.

Um, "I'd" is a contraction for "I would".
