Roddick v. Federer

As a long-frustrated Roddick fan I cannot believe what I'm seeing. Even if Federer wins this I cannot believe what I'm seeing. Roddick's game has improved so much and he's looking better than ever.

Way to go Roddick!!

My man Feds wins again!

If Roddick would have won I would have been pretty proud of him. He was on fire.

That was the most amazing match I've ever seen. I was really pulling for Roddick, and feel terrible for him to get that close. Of course he has nothing to be ashamed of. He played phenomenal tennis, and was the epitome of class when it was over. But congrats to Federer, who is also a very classy guy.

Brilliant match. I just wish Roddick could have pulled it off in the end.

Congrats to Federer on breaking the record.

I feel like it might just be another good US Open for Andy this year
though.

I think if Rafael Nadal was in this tournament we would have had a different champion but yeah, I'm glad to see Roddick's game improve. Whodathunk he would hang with Roger Federer that long? I think he'll be ahead of Andy Murray in the standings as well going into the US Open. Maybe even in the top 3.

Not just hang with him but to not be broken by him once until that very last game and to push him around the court like he was doing for so much of the match. If he could have hung onto that tiebreaker in the second set the outcome would have been different but that's part of what makes Federer so great - he was able to dig deep and pull it out when it mattered.

the best set of tennis i've ever watched...i don't usually watch tennis at all, but when i saw this one on in the 5th set i couldn't turn away

roddick played his heart out, and if he keeps his chin up, and it appears he will, this one will make him a better player and he'll get his win one day
