Ronnie Drew

Just found out that Ronnie Drew passed away today at the age of 73 after a long battle with cancer. Ronnie was a founding member of the seminal Irish band the Dubliners and quite possibly one of the Republic's national treasures. If you're not familiar with the Dubliners, take the time to check them out. I feel really bad about this, but at the same time I'm happy that his suffering is over.

Slán abhaile Ronnie. You will be missed.

Ah man, I like the Dubliners. I have learned some of those classic Irish tunes from his very bass lines. He will be missed.
