Talking The Royal Wedding - must see footage

Many of you will know that we have another of our occasional royal weddings going on over here next week. This footage from rehearsals show that this one could be a little less stuffy than usual.

It's great, saw that yesterday!

There is some great stuff coming out of this, plus a holiday!

Some of the parody songs in the charts/on the net at the mo are great.

It's good that we're getting a day off and some satirical fun out of it, at least. Generally I have zero interest in our royal family and despise the way that the media pushes them on the public as being somehow important or relevant. It's like some sort of crummy soap opera.

In a country where millions watch Eastenders or Emmerdale I don't find the phenomenon too surprising, just depressing.

"The Royal Wedding" & "Must See Footage" are two phrases that just dont belong together. Unless some royalty is falling down or splitting their trousers at the seam.

I wish we'd got journalists over here who agreed with you. They can't shut up about it.

But did you watch the vid?

I might even bet that this ridiculous wedding is getting even MORE coverage over here than you are there. The media here just won't stop with all the stories about it.

Enough. I've just had enough .....

Will it be shown on TV over there? The reason I ask is that one of my Dad's US friends has asked him to record it and take the DVD over when he visits next month (yes, seriously). If it's networked over there I'll tell him not to bother.

The video has been getting a fair amount of air play here, on the major news channels...
I am curious to know however, given the speed at which this wedding has been planned, is there a chance that perhaps the bride has something cooking in the oven?

Ive been hearing about this wedding since, I think, sometime in November or October. If she's preggers some tabloid (TMZ?)would undoubtedly have photographic evidence.

I don't want to hear anybody knocking the royal wedding. I am getting a gig out of it, my band declined so I am going as a duo with another muso in the village. Should be interesting. We haven't decide on the setlist yet but he sings quite a few and so do I so those will form the core of it.

I won't be watching it on TV, my 3 kids plus partners are all descending on me and they want to do something a bit more exciting than watching endless hours of virtually nothing. I suspect a good walk is probably being planned but I will find out sooner or later.

Don't get me wrong, I am not anti-royal (or pro-royal come to that), I just find that it is hyped out of all proportion, much like anything else that the media get hold of.

I do wonder how long this marriage will last. Most of the royal weddings in my memory are null and void now.
