I am in rum drinking mood... recommend me something good... and by good i don't mean Macdonald's rum like captain... I mean stuff i can drink straight up and enjoy.

10 cane any good?

Not familiar with 10 Cane, but the reviews seem stellar. I'm down with Cockspur VSOP, but preferably in a thatched-roof shack on a tropical beach where they do a proper punch with fresh lime juice and nutmeg syrup.

Edit: Looks like we might have to settle for the Cockspur 12 in the US? I just noticed that the importer is only about three miles from here, so I'm going to have to look into this in greater depth.

10 Cane is possibly the best light rum I've ever had. Complex finish, yet very clean.

I buy it often...good neat or with your fave mix. I've even done a mix with DiSaronno and a little soda, and that was ridiculously good.

I have a buddy who drinks 10 Cane and says its great. I've been wanting to try it for a while, but I'm only used to buying expensive bottles of Scotch.

10 canes is awesome!! Right up there with Havana Club (Stupid Embargo!) Careful with the 10 Canes, I drank 1/2 of a bottle before I realized it! My most favorite is Pyrat Pystol. You can smell the molasses when you open the bottle. It kind of has a citrus schwerve goin on, but there isn't any citrus in it.

Anyone familiar with Conch Republic's Atocha Gold? I had two bottles of the stuff, it was wonderful, but I can't find it anywhere. Anything very similar to it?
