Anyone get a chance to see Rush on their current tour? I saw them last at Jones Beach in NY and they blew me away. Never seen them live before and Geddy's ability to sing while he plays, in addition to whatever he's doing with his feet, is staggering. Also, Alex Lifeson does not get nearly the credit he deserves as a guitar player. A real bassist's guitarist, he is tasteful but technical and never devolves into wankery. Also also, Neil played the only extended drum solo I've ever actually enjoyed, let alone found listenable. 3 masters of their craft. |
