Sadness...

So, my last show with the band I was with was on June 7th. As a lot of you know I'm moving to Colorado in a few days. I wasn't sure when I'd score a job, so I left the band a while ago so I wouldn't be stuck if I had a good offer.

Well, I didn't drive on my last night, because they had the intentions of getting me pickled, which they did quite well. lol. Therefore, my rack, cab, pedalboard, and briefcase ended up back at my guitarist's house a few hours away from me. I kept putting off going to get everything cause I didn't wanna drive all the way down there...

Well, last night, they played one of my favorite clubs about 45 minutes away from me. Doug (guitarist) brought my gear up with him for me to get it. I showed up, and it was like a mini-reunion, hugs, jokes, etc. It sucked. I kept thinking I *really* wish I was here to play tonight. I was waiting for the new guy to offer to take a long nap in the band room so I can have the night. Obviously, that didn't happen. I was there about an hour, I helped them load in, set up, all while we busting each other's chops (as always). Then, the goodbyes came, some hugs, handshakes, and the dreaded "keep in touch". It was really depressing.

I hope to hell I find a great bunch of guys like that to play with in Denver!

Thumbs up

...dude, you'll kick @$$ in Denver (not as much as you would have in NC ), so don't sweat it. Give it some time, but you'll get the right gig with the right guys.

Yeah man, you sound like a very outgoing person that would easily be able to find a band. Might take a while to find the right one, but it will come. Good Luck to you!

We can hold our own.

But the best BBQ places are the small locally owned places that are run by southern transplants.

Consider yourself lucky. Judging from your posts on TB, they've obviously been a bad influence. Now all you need is a sweater, a pipe, and a good "uh huh", and you'll actually fool some people that you're some kind of therapist or something.

I love living in Colorado. Of course leaving home is hard for anyone but I don't think you will be disappointed. Unless you really like Pennsylvania. And hate nice scenery.

As sad as all this may be, take solace in that you still have Lemmewinks.
