I've gotta say, Safari 4.0 is pretty cool.
That is all.

Firefox plug-ins are a tough thing to compete with.

Unfortunately, it's suddenly buggy, so I went back to try out Safari and remembered what I've been missing.

It has a dynamic view of your twelve most visited sites, and uses cover flow for your history in case you remember what the page looked like but don't recall where it was.
It's pretty, but cool too.

I download it and it doesn't recognize my touchpad scroll sections so i have to middle click. -10 points.
Pages simply take longer to load. -100
Middle click does not work when closing a tab...you have to click the X. Maybe this is because mac originally used 1 button ( )... I didn't think our minds can devolve. - 20
Even the looks on Windows, is horrible. I mean, who wants too have a HUGE tab at the top? -5
This browser's final rating: -135
Ill stick to Chrome. Heck, when Chrome becomes available for mac's, people will stop using safaili.
PS. Regarding cover flow. The browser is so badly designed that i couldn't even figure how to active said cover flow. Even if I could find it, It would probably eat resources. Something that i think, is not necessary.
Chrome has something similar. You can see the webpage thumbnail and doesn't eat resources. |

It's faster than anything I've used.
And I've heard several concerns about Chrome being loaded with spyware.

And regarding the spyware. None here. At least i don't think so. I've no unusual behaviour therefore no need to scan. |

I hate when beta versions do that.

I hate when beta versions do that. | Yeah, that's what kind of worries me. I might just wait awhile. I used to jump on the betas when I was working in the computer industry, but not so much anymore. I'll check in with you in a week or so and see where you at my guinea pig friend. |
