I guess with Michael Jackson's passing, Sammy Sosa is now the world's most famous former black man.

He has used substances in the past to alter his body, so this shouldn't come as a suprise to anyone. He is obviously into artifical enhancement. |

I know many Latinos of color do not call themselves "black," but the Latin Caribbean had just as much African slavery and plantations as the Anglo Caribbean and the American South. Sammy Sosa is just as much of African extraction as I am. The same goes for mixed race Latinos. Mixed race is common in America too, but until very recently, it was ignored, and all people of color were simply called black.

Clearly you take I what I post personally or you would not react the way you have. If you think you don't like me or my politics, leave me alone, and I will do the same for you.
As for Sammy Sosa, I simply am making an observation about a celebrity, the sort of thing that goes on all the time on the internet. I have no strong personal feelings about Sammy Sosa at all.

You're not foolin' me. That statement, like many you have made here on TB, speaks volumes along with another little history lesson on Africans and slavery that you once again alluded to above.
It's only a guess until you confirm it, but I got the distinct impression that what Sammy did to his skin (from the comment about "former black man") somehow bothers you.
You brought it up, and your attempts at humor and sarcasm are pretty transparent to me, especially when you consider the running theme of African slaves in your posts.
You don't want to elaborate and state your point plainly, that's your choice. I kinda don't blame you.
P.S.--It's really not about whether I "like" or "dislike" you, it's more about "what's your point?"
