The features and size are fantastic but the touch screen simply does not work. If it did, I'd love the phone. Instead, I'm thinking of taking a serious loss and buying a new phone just to get something that's actually usable. I have many Samsung products I love but I'm steering clear of the phones for now.
Unfortunately for me the iPhone doesn't do Verizon.

Actually, I'll pick the Blackberry Storm when that comes out. | I am planning on picking up the Storm as well. If one company can make an "iphone killer", it is RIM.

If it is running on the 3G network, no problem because I am on the only carrier that has 3G in Canada.

One thing many of these phones lack is large internal memory like the 16GB I currently have. Also I don't know that anyone has a touch-screen that is as effective or a music playerv that is as convenient and effective. Also there are all the third party apps. Those add a lot. Currently postin this from my iPhone btw.

The marketing has me convinced that I need one...

The Samsung with Windows Mobile would probably offer more versatility and customability, but then again I've had bad experiences with WM before, and I'm not sure about the touch functions..
I'm actually considering to get the iPod Touch, as the iPhone is a bit overpriced around here. Then again, it misses web-over-BT, which is a minus. I'm also considering the Nokia 5800 phone, which is a bit cheaper than the iPhone. The Nokia runs on Symbian OS, so there's a bunch of software around, although I'm sure that not as much as for WM or for iPhone.

i'm seriously considering getting a blackberry with an att plan. i'd just use wi-fi for internet access--gladly sacrifice instant internet to save an extra $30 a month.
i'm not an "apple person."
what phone company do you prefer, and what phone with that company do you like?
i'm a total smartphone/pda noob. i imagine i'll be more than impressed by a phone that doesn't run out of batteries after three minutes of use. |
