San Diego First Trip--Beautiful City

Sign in to disble this ad
I just came home from a week in San Diego, my first visit there, and I just wanted to say how impressed I am and what an outstanding time I had there.

Everything was no more than 10 minutes from the hotel.

Pacific Beach, Mission Beach/Bay, Sea World, the Zoo, Jake's Del Mar watching the surfers catch their last waves at sunset. I spent most of my time boogie boarding and walking/biking up and down the boardwalk. I coulda been a beach bum. Such a relaxed, positive energy.

The roads are efficient and unobstructed. Typical slow downs during rush hour, but nothing unusual. Pleasant driving for the most part, and the unending scenery, wow.

I had one of the best trips of my life.

To the folks who actually live there: First, I am so jealous, you are so fortunate. Second, thanks for keeping your city one of the nicest in the USA.

I'll be back, and I may not leave next time.

a coyote...in San Diego.....hmm.......

I've been there once, to see a Raider/Charger game. Didn't get to do nearly as much as I wanted to; went to the Gaslamp Quarter at night to party a little bit, went down to the beach by the resort, but that was it. I was bummed I didn't get to do more.

My dad and sister live in San Diego, so I get out there every other year or so. Wish I could find a job in the area that paid well enough for me to move out there full time... Yeah, great city! Unfortunately it has its crime problems and what not, just like any other major city; you just don't hear about them as much due to LA being just a hop skip and jump northward. Yeah...I'd love to move there full time, under the right circumstances (Bass San Diego, here I come!! They weren't there last time I was in SD, so will be nice next time I get there - maybe early 2011? and visit!!)

San Diego is a great place for sure. We stay at the Four Seasons when we go down there.

Dang it, now I'm homesick. We moved back in 03' and I have not been there since 04'. There are a lot of things I miss about it.

I'll bet, the weather is unbelievable. I nearly took some surfing lessons, but I would have spent more time in the water than on the board I'm sure. Maybe next trip.

I did have a wave force the boogie board into my nose with nearly enough force to break it (the nose that is, the board was fine). That was fun.

It's as great place all right! I grew up in Pacific Beach/Mission Beach, and I miss it. Can't visit anymore cuz no more family there. Where did you stay?

I've never lived anywhere else (except when I'm at Groom). I was even stationed here the whole time I was in the Marines.

I stayed at a little place called the Good Nite Inn Sea World, very near Camino Del Rio W and I-5. A stone's throw from everything.

You are so lucky to have grown up there.

We've got a nice place to visit here. I just wish the cost of living wasn't so out of relation to the income levels here. Even with the economic issues we've had a realistic market correction still hasn't occurred.
