The gym was playing some really bad techno today.
There may be good techno somewhere, but this was NOT it.
Me: Do you know what song this is, and who produced it?
Gym Desk Guy: No..., but I can tell you the station and you can look it up.
Me: Cool - I have a computer that sounds *just like this song* when it crashes. I could record it and sell it to whoever produced this record and get rich.
Gym Desk Guy: Here's the name of the radio station, you can google it and find their playlist....

| | <-- That guy looks like me, but old. | | Join Date: Aug 2002 Location: Arlington TX | | | I remember telling my son that I didn't object to his listening to techno, I just objected to his listening to BAD techno. He objected to my opinion until one morning he suddenly turned his attitude around completely. It was some time later when he confessed to WHY he had changed his mind. He was listening to one of his techno CD's while doing his homework, and suddenly realized that he had bee listening to the same song for over an hour. Since it was a three and a half minute song the fact that he had not noticed the point in the song where the CD hung and repeated the phrase meant that the song sounded the same as the mistake.
After that he actually listened to my recommendations for a while.

It's why it's so popular among witless, young teens. instead of being funny, you can pretend to be funny by playing opposite day. |

Sarcasm may be a close second, but it has its places.
Maki, your humility and absence of boat-rockership are nearly legendary in some circles.

Scatological humor is far from the lowest form.
Mockery and name calling are lower.
But the lowest of all is punnery.
