First Movie. Tru Grit. Excellent review from me here. The kid is fantastic and the western experience is true to life. Or at least I believe it is. And thats what a great movie does. Makes you believe.
Long story short. A 14 year old girl with a lot of balls wants to avenge her fathers murder and hires Jeff Bridges who is a US Marshall. They also hook up with Matt Damon who is a Texas Ranger. Go see it. Two thumbs up.
Next Movie. Red. With Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Mary Louise Parker. Good movie. Very Likable characters and some pretty funny moments. Malkovich was my favorite.
Next up is. The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei. She's very hot and very naked in this movie. For some reason, well I do know the exact reason, I Identified with the character, Randy "The Ram" Robinson. His selfish yet sensitive ways are what make him a very likable person. He's kinda confused and he wants to have things that he may not really be ready to have or really hasn't earned them. He's really just a F- Up. Very real too.
Last movie. Lottery Ticket. Very B Rated but loaded with stars from top to bottom. Ice Cube is one of them and the two others that I know are Keith David and Terry Crews. And Charlie Murphy. Just a good funny movie. Not hysterical but good entertainment.
Sorry if the reviews suck but I'm not Siskle or Ebert and I just wanted to share my enjoyment and tell all you out there to go and see one of these movies. I hope your not dissapointed.

I saw The Fighter this weekend & it was awesome. I'm glad the movie stopped at Ward's career when it did and Christian Bale is awesome in this movie. Awesom-er than Marky Mark, but Micky Ward is a quiet/humble guy in real life so I think Wahlberg did a great job of portraying him. Definitely a must-see IMO. |

Both incredible movies. I also caught Black Swan a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good to. I rented the Wrestler about a year ago or so and also enjoyed it. I rented Legion over the weekend via Netflix and laughed the whole way through, not the movie's intention.

As a massive fan of the original, I'd like to hear from some of the older guys out there who have seen the remake, to see how they think it measures up to the original. I love Jeff Bridges, but as Rooster Cogburn? I'm not so sure.

| | | Saw Reggie Watts DVD "Why **** So Crazy?" recently. It is a simple film of his live performance, and is funny and interesting and weird in a good way. If you don't know of this guy, check him out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxv6z...eature=related |
