Saw a cool show lastnight

So lastnight on the spur of the moment me and a couple friends went to a benifit concert for the four police officers that were guned down while sitting in a cofee shop a couple of weeks ago up here in Seattle. Really cool show. A lot of appreciation for what the police officers do for us and thier families as well. Anyway, the show started off with me and my friends longtime favorite band, Queensryche. They did a short acoustic set and they sounded as perfect as ever. Queensryche has been the soundtrack to me and my friends lives for over twenty years and we never miss a show when they come home to play (thier from Seattle). And then Duff Mckagen's band loaded cranked it up for over an hour. Let me tell you, Duff is a superstar, period. He actually plays guitar and sings in this band. He did switch to bass thou when they played a few GnR songs. Then at the end of the show Duff thanked everybody for coming out and sticking around for the whole show. He said for doing that we would be duley (sp?) rewarded. He called out Geoff Tate and he sang Night train and Paradise City to end the show. It was AWSOME. I would have never thought I'd see Geoff sing GnR songs with Duff's band! Great night, great show!

I now have pretty decent respect for Duff. Always liked QR- though they were outside my asinine/late-adolescent official *tastes* when they were big.
