So, I'm a Chry/Jeep tech but I'm good friends with the service manager of the Dodge dealer down the street. He calls me today and tells me to come over, that he's got something to show me. So I get there just in time to see the customer pull out of the parking lot with his brand new just delivered black srt8 Challenger. This thing was sinister! It looked and sounded AWSOME! If theres any mopar fans here on TB you have to go to your dodge dealer and try to see one of things. The resemblence to the 70 challenger boggles the mind. I mean it looked cool in pictures but in real life it's insane. The front bumper, grille and hood are a perfect mach to the old challenger..well the whole car is. Words can't describe it. You gotta go see one.

But man....as far as I am concerned nobody has cooler cars than Dodge! At least they seem to have some original ideas. Most Chevy and Ford cars seemed to have been designed for people that are on the wrong side of 7 decades walking the earth. I keep threatening my wife that I am going to get a black 300C with a hemi!

I've seen the new Challenger and it's VERY nice. The lines disguise the fact that its wheelbase is considerably longer than the Mustang or the new Camaro. Road tests are coming out now.
GM has had horrendous designs for the past 20 years - the new Malibu is probably the best thing they've come up with. The Monte Carlo is a caricature of itself, and the Impala has no character. When Olds went down, I thought Chevy should have thrown out their body designs and taken over the Olds body line - it was a bit better. Ford really isn't doing anything much better, although the new Taurus has some positive elements.
Maybe Lutz will improve things at GM.
