Cool. I got to see them in 1971 and again a couple of years ago. They still rock, even though Fogerty isn't still with them. Wish I could have met them, though.

If John Fogerty isn't there, it isn't CCR. Creedence Clearwater Revisited is a sham. John wrote and sang all the classic tunes, but got ripped off for the rights to his own material. It's a glorified tribute band posing as the real thing.

Oh you're that guy. Some guy walks into the bar celebrating something cool that happened to him, and you're there to point out how pointless it all is, and remind him that this happiness is just a fleeting moment in a world of misery. Wait a second. You're 'tickle me emo'.

Eh.

CCR is one of my earliest musical memories. They're a local group, went to the same high school (although separated by a few decades), and John Fogerty was/is a musical hero of mine and was part of why I got into music to begin with.

Was being loyal to him by reminding the world that he's getting ripped off by his former bandmates.

I'm really hoping that he's talking about Creedence, and not Cross Canadian Ragweed...cause then this thread would have to take a whole new direction.

I agree: Fogerty is one of my musical heroes...

I find it ironic that you talk about Fogerty getting ripped off and your sig quotes Bankrobber by The Clash

Even if it isn't CCR in its original form, I'd never miss an opportunity to talk to guys who do music and are on the road playing many, many nights in a row.

Sure it would be cool to meet the original lineup, but talking to experienced musicians doing difficult travel and playing is still cool.

Stealing art from artists and redistributing wealth from tyrants are different things.

It's not funny, it's tragic. And true.
