Scared Poopie-less

I was in the kitchen pooring milk for my kitten and my dad walks in.. leans on the sink, then collapses right in front of me, his head slams on the metal dog dish. He wasn't breathing at first.. I yelled for my brother (It was just me and my brother in the house and my other brother outside) to call 911 then performed CPR. Scariest/Slowest 5 minutes of my life. Thankfully he regained consciousness and my mom got home, the ambulance got there soon after my mom. They got him in the ambulance and checked his vitals and his heart beat was very abnormal.. He's fine now though. My brother and mom are at the hospital right now and they're keeping him there until he fully recovers. I got phone duty for worried siblings in other states so I thought I'd make a post to calm my nerves. I thought I had lost my dad for a little

Best wishes for your dad, OP. Here's hoping he pulls through and gets whatever it was handled/sorted and stays healthy.

It's totally understandable that you're scared. I hope your dad gets the best care possible and gets everything figured out. Sending out prayers...

Best wishes. Nothing worse than that. My Dad went through heart surgery a few years ago and we almost lost him that day. Worst day of my life. We hug lots now.

Good job with that CPR, if I'm reading your story correctly, you are probably the sole reason your dad is still alive. Best wishes.

Not that I think it should have remained profane, but doesn't "Poopie-less" kind of make this thread sound a little more... goofy than it is.

It's ok, I understand.. I'm used to being on a forum less strict on profanity, I'll try to keep it clean.

Thank you guys for all the prayers.. He should be alright, I'm waiting for my Mom to call with news on how hes doing.

Wow, hope that your father gets better soon.

Also, great job with starting first aid on him. You very well might have saved his life.

Good job. I just took an infant, child and adult CPR class. Figured it is good to know for my family as well as my 4th grade classes.

Been there before, pretty scary. Seizure, not heart related though, but I get the collapsing part.

Hope he's alright.

Well, My dad's home and well now. It turns out some of the medication prescribed to him wasn't supposed to mixed but the Doctors never informed him of it. It made his blood pressure drop extremely low, but he's fine now thankfully. Just thought I'd give you guys an update.
