scene kids, minor rant

Sign in to disble this ad
Is it me or are they all trying to look like one another, what happened to individualism?

1. Guys, how do you fit your junk into girl pants?
2. You look real cool having to walk with your head cocked back because your hair is in the way!

The list continues, im too tired to finish and im sure someone else will for me.

But seriously, has anyone noticed the large sudden burst of "scene kids" within their local music scenes? What happened to moshing? How did straight edge become so popular within music? Finally, whats with core after every style of music, what happened to just simple metal?

discuss and continue.

hahaha.. I hate the look and I really would feel uncomfortable in those tiny pants. They also wear those beanies half on, half off their heads. Me and my buddy call them condom heads.

conforming to be nonconformists?

we're the ones who changed...kids are still the same. I used to get crap from adults because I had long hair, my music was from the devil ...etc ect. Funny because now that same music is played on the classic rock station and Metallica is mainstream

and *** is a juggalo?, been hearin it for years and I have no idea what the hell it is...sounds like a clown

Scene kids? Seriously, that's the first time I heard that term, like the evolution of emo, and the latest trend for the kids to follow so they can all be individualistic together?

Damn, I must be getting old. Either that or I've just always done my own thing and never gave a poop about following trends.

I'll give you the hard truth, in my highschool you are either preppy listening to rap or hiphop, or your "scene" listening to all versions of rock. Welcome to hell, I mean High School.

EDIT: there is a group of classic rock kids I hang with some of the time too.

If I had a son and he came home in chick pants, I'd slap the daylights out of him.

I see a few of those around school too. I have to fight a strong urge to stab, shoot, drown, ignite, hang and quarter, behead, maim, maul, sick dogs upon, curb stomp, run over with a bus GTA style, etc. on a daily basis, its a hard urge to fight. Not like you ever understood!(sulks, and writes poetry).

Whomp em enough when they're young and you won't need to worry about it.

I can't stand the emo's. I can't wait to leave for the USAF, I know that there will be no emo's in there. I really get them ticked, though. We played Stranglehold for our senior talent show, and the emo's hated it. Everyone else loved it.

Never forget: Don't get in a fight with an emo kid-he might pull a knife out on himself!

they are constantly evolving. lately theres been an outburst of moccasin wearing kids in indie bands. we call them rock-asin's.

im glad to say that ive pretty well looked the same for years. dark shirt, blue jeans, black shoes (be they chucks or some other skate shoes). been on a bandana kick lately, and a ball cap kick before that, and a beanie kick before that. its always about to keep the hair out of my face.
