well as some of u know im in college now, that time i received mail saying that i got a scholarship...what i got it for, i don't know, but im all revved up and ready to go (  ), but its pretty cool. $1000  for apparently nothing.
this happen to anyone else?

That isn't just part of the program, I'm the only one I know of who was offered that.

I was pissed, because they just took it off my OSAP. I could've really used that 3,000. I have the rest of my life to pay off OSAP. |

I never got any "just 'cause" scholarships. In High School and undergrad, I was a 'tard with horrible grades. I hated working. lol. So I never got nuthin'. It wasn't until I started work on my first Masters that I buckled down and actually worked.

A few friends of mine who are going post grad are getting pretty decent funding tho. Most of them are getting tuition covered and about £10,000 next year. One guy i know is getting £14,000 next year, and it increases over the 4 years of his phd. Lucky bas

I later found out that they were additional scholarships that the university gave for students who came to the school with the NSERC CGS-M scholarship that I had. The NSERC was about $17 500 per year. |
