This could be anything! This could lead to stuff like living houses and dogs that don't fart....not to mention boundless energy, a little sprout that grows into a desktop computer powered by sunlight and human fecal matter...You name it!...Insanity!
The way I see it nature made us (quite at random) now we have the sentience to take control of that process, and we should help evolution along, we should just be very careful not to kill ourselves in the process/ to preserve bio diversity/ keep our creations for evolving un-controlled. |

Stuff like this could/can/will end up effecting other living organisms. It could get into the enviroment and mess up the balance of nature, on a level more than we already ave.. its introducing something that never evolved into its right place.
In my mind, this is worse than cloning people on an ethical level.. Yeah, it will probably become some super fuel source or something.. We essentially created a slave. that could screw up the natural balance of microbes and bacteria, affecting more and more.... the one thing i could see this truely being useful for would be terraforming mars or something.. give it its own place to do stuff and grow and develop.
Still insanely stunning. Im interested in what the government will do
