Screwdrivers

Went to look for a flat headed screwdriver to open a can of lacquer and after finding 12 Philips head screwdrivers I found a flathead... I swear these things can sense what I need and all run away.

Don't use a screwdriver to open paint cans. Use the proper tool. It's easier. http://www.amazon.com/Hyde-46455-BUL.../dp/B001VEC63I

The quantity of the screwdriver you want to find is always inversely proportional to what's in your tool box at time of search.

This is a law of physics.

Either that, or the only flat head around is coated with an inch of hardened paint from the last time you used it

Flathead screwdrivers are just trolls.

Who in their right mind makes a tool that is designed to spin around, and requires that you keep it centered, lest it LEAVES THE THING IT IS SUPPOSED TO TURN BY ESCAPING ITS OWN RECEPTACLE.

man, tell me about it - I can only seem to find the putty knife when I DON'T need it
whenever I need it, I end up searching for 20 minutes, not finding it, and use a butter knife instead

Don't feel bad, After just short of turning the house upside down looking, I had to go buy a couple new pipe wrenches the other day. Apparently the 2 I thought I owned grew legs and ran away from home.

As for screwdrivers, these days it pays to keep some JIS drivers in assorted sizes handy.
