SE Asia, here i come!

its getting closer and more official. i will be going to cambodia and laos for two and a half weeks in february!

my work is sending me (as in they pay, sweet!) as part of a "learning tour." i work in fair trade and the big grand-daddies of the business, ten thousand villages, put this together every three years. they take a group of about a dozen store managers to some part of the world where they have contracts with workshops so we can meet the people behind the products, learn the stories, see the operation for ourselves, and ultimately share the personal connection with the customers. it is all part of their philosophy of putting a face on the products.

i will be in phnom penh and siem reap, and then vientiane. mostly i will be in cities, but there will be one visit to a silk worm farm. also, they plan on having time to check out ankgor wat, the plain of jars, and luang prabang.

we all meet in L.A. on feb 5, get oriented and head out.

needless to say, i am majorly psyched!!!!
