Sega Dreamcast games

Sign in to disble this ad
I just finished writing a Calculus exam hours ago, and it was as hard as hell so I decided to ease my shattered nerves by buying a Dreamcast. It came with 3 games: NFL 2K, Grand Theft Auto 2, and NHL 2K (didn't work). Just wondering if anyone could recommend some other games. I'll probably be out this weekend looking at various pawn shops for some games. I also need a memory card so I can actually save progress in GTA2.

Two that I adore but may be hard to find are the original Soul Calibur and Space Channel 5. Chuu Chuu Rocket was pretty quirky and fun, too.

There are a couple of EB Games locations in Thunder Bay. You might see if they have any Dreamcast games available. The EB Games/GameStop locations here do.

Yeah I'll check them out in the near future. I haven't been to one in Thunder Bay yet, but I know where one of them is. Cash Converters would probably have some as well.

+1 for crazy taxi - it was the poster game for dreamcast.

ChuChu Rocket was a lot of fun if you like puzzle games.

Jet Set Radio was good too.

I played as the Vikings the first time I tried the game. My go to play was Cunningham to Carter long distance to the left of the field. Moss makes insanely good catches too, thats what you get for gracing the cover I guess.

I went to an EB Games location today and asked if they had any Dreamcast stuff. I was laughed out of the store.
Oddly enough though the 2 locations in Thunder Bay are right across the street from each other.

I'll try some more stores on Saturday.

ermmm.. I don't recall the name, I recall my friend saying it was the biggest and the only worth one in TBay and it was our first stop coming from East into town. If I remember correctly, the futureshop and the mall are down that street. And again, I think you could see the "sleeping giant" from the top of the road that was going downwards.

They had nice Spectors as well as Trace Elliot amps / cab and combos ! They also had 'lots of Gibson guitars.

If you want I can ask my friend for the name of the store.

Sea Man. Strangest video game I've ever had, Only one I've ever had that I could talk to.. and also the only one that has ever nagged at me before about skipping school.
Jet Grind Radio
Shenmue
Power Stone 1/2
Soul Caliber
Sonic adventure 1/2 for the times that you play sonic.
Sega GT(online), not all that realistic but I really dug the car selection and music soundtrack!!!
Skies of Arcadia and Grandia2 if you like RPG's.
Marvel vs Capcom 2
Rayman 2
Resident Evil Code: Veronica
Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram
Soul Reaver:Legacy of Kain
Sword of the Berserk
Gundam Rise from the Ashes

Phantasy Star Online was also really good but I don't think it is playable online anymore.
And Quake III arena on the dreamcast has sucked more of my time away then just about every other video game I have played by a long shot. Probably played more q3 then I have any other game combined. Great stuff. But I'd just play it on the PC instead, in fact QuakeLive is in works and it will be free q3+tweaks that launches from your browser. Having beta tested it I can say it is fantastic.

There are more DC games that I liked but I dont remember at this time. but after listing some of those I'm tempted to get another dreamcast! I dont think there has been a console since then that has come close to matching it as far as variety of unique and high quality games! And the fact that I was able to play and surf online on that thing for free years before microsoft opened up it's charged service easily makes it my favorite console to date.

Sure. I'd guess it was one of the ones on Algoma/Memorial based on the description. Also since we're still off topic, do you know of any stores in the area that have 6-string bass strings?

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is my favourite non-super smash fighter game.
