Selling on Amazon ?.......

Sign in to disble this ad
..........anyone involved with it ?.....
I have some professional textbooks that have some value, figured I would try to liquidate them , can not stomach listing on 'that auction site'.....

I am interested in your experience....

also, curious as to why they are asking for my credit card # to sell things when I am not a credit card merchant/vendor ?

I've done it many times. Never had any problems. It's good way to get some $ for a book you no longer need, that otherwise would just be given away or discarded.

I sell quite a bit on Amazon. No problems so far.

So they can charge you back if it turns out that you sold something fraudulently.

I love Amazon. I sell stuff on there all the time. It literally takes about 5 minutes to set up and verify a seller account, and listing items is a breeze.

My one qualm is that because all payments go through amazon and then into your account, it usually takes a week or two before you get the cash.

I've been selling off some of my old books on Amazon for a few months now, and it works quite well. You get emailed when someone orders your stuff, you have 2 days to ship it, confirm the shipment and every two weeks they deposit whatever money you've made to your account. One nice bonus; they charge $3.99 for standard shipping on books; I've found that unless it's a big heavy book, sending it media mail domestically with a delivery confirmation comes in around $3.25-3.50, so there's a couple quarters bonus.

If you're going on vacation, though, you have to deactivate your listings, and reactivating them when you get back is a little tedious.
