Pay dues on TB and sell it here.

Or - HORRORS - put an ad in that outdated thing called your local newspaper.

You get a supporting membership, then list it in the Classifieds.

Become a supporting member. Until you do, it's against the rules to state that you are *trying to sell a bass*- it can be construed as an ad of sorts.

It's okay so long as he doesn't mention what he's trying to sell. So long as the thread is about how to go about selling a bass without going into details of value or brand, it's kosher.

i've had TWO eBay accounts banned in the past. these were accounts with 100% good feedback. one was banned with no explanation, and no reply from eBay's customer service. the other was banned for being a "deadbeat bidder", when i actually paid for the item and never received it. this was back in the pre-paypal days when we used money orders and they sometimes got lost in the mail. rather than try to straighten it out with me first (could have easily been resolved by canceling the money order and sending a new one), he reported me to eBay and i was banned.

i've had my current one for a few years now. 100% feedback once again, and i only use paypal. smooth sailing so far.

eBay totally sucks! They ONLY care about the buyers and couldn't care less about their sellers. You can no longer leave negative feedback about a flakey buyer, so what good is the feedback system?

A buyer lied and left false negative feedback for me and eBay wouldn't do a thing, despite his threatening and derogatory emails to me.

In addition, their fees are WAY out of line.

I would rather wait a year to sell something on Craigslist than to give eBay another penny.

Sorry to rant. Sell your bass here! These are great people and you will get a better deal with less pain than selling on eBay.

In all my transactions(plus 40+ under the old feedback system), I've been taken for $15 once- a pretty good record. 99% of the people here are- IME- golden.
