I belive I posted this in the wrong forum earlier. So i'm posting it here now.

Well I just completed my application for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

I was just curious if there are any bassist who are planning on or currently attend Seminary and what you think about it.

Thanks

For a while, I was planning on going into full-time ministry, but it quickly became apparent to me that teaching is not an area I am gifted in. Good luck with your application, though. I hope it all works out for you.

Good luck, I hear it is quite tough. I know a few profs and from what they tell me, it isn't easy.

Does the Baptist seminary require a degree as well?

I would assume that it does in most cases as a seminary is a graduate program. Some seminaries will accept "mature students".

I wish you all the best in the persuit of your education and ministry. I was in the Seminary studying to be a Catholic Priest. This was one phase of my Priestly formation I was in a cult I am sure you will not have anything close to this expirence but it is allways good to know others expirence.

Wow MM. That sounds rough. I don't believe baptist seminary is anything like that. Its more like going to college.

Thats allways been my impression of Protestant Seminary. Going though all of my expirences you have no idea how much I envied the guys that could go home at the end of the day and retain some sense of normalcy in their lives. Catholicism Seminary tends to be in my expirence run like a residential boys town for the emotionally stunted.
