I got a very good deal on Sunday. Saturday I went to Guitar Center to play some amps and daydream. I brought my Music Man Bongo and quickly observed it developed a rather large fan base where women were asking it for it's autograph.
Well, I was also playing some other Music Man basses when I saw a black Stingray 4H with a black pickguard and an all maple neck, fretboard and headstock. I played it and instantly fell in love. They had it discounted to $1,049.00. Well, I also had a discount coupon that was sent to me via e-mail for 15% off. They honored that coupon on the bass discounting it even more and then gave me almost the balance due on a trade in on my Ibanez 20th5 20th Anniversary Prestige Soundgear bass. I had to go back the next day to complete the deal because I live 2 hours away from the closest Guitar Center (the pains of living in a small town). Needless to say, I left a very very happy man. I absolutely love this freaking bass so much. It still had the plastic on the pickguard and the bar code scanner on the back of the body. Not a scratch or flaw on her either. She looked like the day she came out of the factory. What is also neat was this was the exact bass I wanted next. A black Stingray with black pickguard and all maple neck, fretboard and headstock.
Here is a picture of her!
Here she is!
