Shipping to Spain

I have an item for sale on Ebay and a buyer from Spain, even though I say in the ad that I'll only ship to the CONUS, wants to buy my item, a bass.

Anyone have any experience shipping to Spain?

Any possibility of the item getting caught in a duties dispute or anything like that?

sure it's not a scam? maybe spain is the new nigeria

Yes, i would be wary shipping out of the states. What do some of this guys emails sound like? When i was selling basses on ebay, i had a couple guys from spain inquire. Maybe spain is the new nigeria, its not THAT far from africa....

However if you can, ask for a picture of the seller with a fish on his head. I believe thats how you confirm its not really a scam

His feedback is 100% positive. His Ebay profile just says Spain.

He says he's used the USPS before so I'll probably go talk to them and get the low-down on international shipping.

I've shipped internationally before, (via USPS) it can at times be a hassle based on some extra paperwork etc, but by and large it's no big deal. Just make sure the payment goes through, make sure the item is tracked and insured and I don't think there will be a problem.

I get inquiries about shipping to Spain. If they have positive feedback I let them know that I will not be responsible for loss, delays, damage, any fees/taxes/duties incurred on their side. Also, I will only ship to a verified address and an adult signature will be required. I usually don't hear anything back after that.

He sent me this shipping address to get a postage estimate:
Calle Madre Maria Teresa 71
Seville, postal code 41005

But I did find in his Ebay profile:
Andalucía Ceuta y Melilla,Spain

Why wouldn't this be part of his shipping address?

Sevilla is part of the south of the iberian peninsula, Ceuta and Melilla are in africa, i suggest you ask him about his whereabouts because even though it is really common for ppl to be on either side sevilla is not so close to C&M.

I wish i could be more helpful but i live at the northern part of spain and cant get close to those locations.
