Should Athority be Questioned?

Sign in to disble this ad
No matter where you are should athority be questioned? Including on message bords, chat rooms, etc.?

I say yes, because if it isn't then power tends to get to peoples heads and they get to the point of thinking they can do whatever they so choose. YMMV.

It's "authority". And in my opinion those in authority should absolutely always be closely scrutinised.

People should always have the right to question authority, but you must keep in mind that people can become just as power-hungry about questioning authority, as the authority may be about abusing powers.

Depends on the question. I frequently ask Chris Fitzgerald what his favorite recipes are.

If you question authority, will you listen when they answer? I think that's just as important, but hey, I'm willing to listen to both sides of any discussion before reaching a conclusion.

Silly me.

I fought the law and the law won.

I fight authority and authority always wins.

There's no authority on the internet.

Just owners (of websites) and users. You pay the money, you get to make the rules.

Depends how much time you got. Some fights just aren't worth the headache.

You pay a teeeeeeny fraction of what this site costs, and for that receive benefits to which you agreed.
