should i go get a food handlers permit?

Sign in to disble this ad
the job market is getting pretty grim. and i really need to work this summer to afford gas and G.A.S.

driving around i have only seen fast food places with now hiring signs. on CL there has only been scams or door to door sales were i have to buy the product and then sell it for profit.

should i get the food handlers permit just so i can maybe work minimum wage?

Nah, the permit costs some money. Only buy it if you get the job. Most fast food places will let you work a few days (read: months) without a permit.

Dont know what experience and qualifications you have, but start knocking on doors.

I've had more than one job where I've approached a company that wasn't hiring, and been able to get my foot in the door.

You don't need a permit to work in fast food joints. Years ago I was looking for entry level job and thought getting my FoodSafe would increase my chances of being hired. It didn't.
