Sick of my job...

Sign in to disble this ad
Here's another griping story from me:

I am so sick of my job. I'm a loan officer at a local financial for 3 years now and I'll tell you what, I have had just about enough of working with people. I'm considering leaving this job and looking for a completely new job. One where I do not have to work for people. I want to be Milton from Office Space soooo bad right now. Locked in the basement corner.

Do they let you listen to your radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven?

Rather than wanting to be Milton, maybe pulling a Milton could make you feel better. Of course you'd be thrown in jail, but I bet it'd be satisfying.

Just get fired... I did, it's not so bad... Especially when you already have an interview lined up that pays more.

What ever you do, stay out of food service. Kichen work is worse than manual labor. At least manual labor you get to work outside.

They let us listen to radio all day long but that's not my thing. I'm a Talkbass guy not a radio guy.

Unemployment does not sound too bad right now to be honest.

I'm looking for jobs constantly. It's amazing how hard it is to get a job when you're still employed (if that makes sense).

They ask you "When will you be able to start?"

You say "Well, I have to give my three weeks notice first."

They say "Get back to us when your three notice is up."

I have a kid coming in a few weeks. With my time of employment I qualify for a 6 week paid paternity leave so I'm gonna use that up first before I'm outa here. During my leave it's going to be one job interview after another.
