Quick important question:

Is the Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN) the same as an American Social Security Number (SSN), I need to know because I am applying for a internship in the US and it asked me for my SSN and im not sure if its my SIN.

Thanks

If you happen to have one of each, the customs will be a long long odyssey.

the us government will issue you a temporary ssn and you will have to file tax returns while you work in the us....better get all your ducks lined up..........there are some fellows in blue suits who will insist that all is in order and then the guys in the white shirts will probably give you a going over as well.......
