Yep.

Scotch and hot sauce, the two staples.

Laphroaig, cask strenght Macallan, and Dalwhinnie for a change are most commonly found in my house. I also love good tequila.

I don't drink, but I like to read about alcoholic beverages and that's why I'm following this thread. I have a question: The most appreciated Scotch Whiskies where I live are Johnnie Walker (blue label is very expensive, BTW), Chivas Regal and Buchanan's, but I only have seen the second mentioned here. What happen with JW and Buchanan's? Are those a different kind of drink or aren't as good as people think in my country? Thank you!

Alvaro..those are all blends, rather than single malts. Blue label IS very expensive. I like JW black, but JW red is kind of nasty. Chivas Regal is my favorite blend.

Thanks, man! Very interesting. It's obvious that people in my country have lots of things to learn yet about drinks. Blends are pretty common here, but I can't recall anybody who knows about single malts. Not even know about the difference between whisky (Scotch) and Whiskey (American - Bourbon) which I know is a very popular drink in the states (specially the Jack Daniels). In fact, most of the most famous cases of alcoholism (Van Halen comes to mind) are related to Bourbon. Thank you again!

Just down near the bottom of the royal mile is a very nice whisky shop, has the smallest bottled whisky in the world and also has some very very very expensive bottles!

I should have been in edinburgh this weekend too

Professionally, in a totally different non-related field(sorry to say). However, I'm involved with wine/whiskey through clubs/associations & friends...
