How is the Bowmore Legend? I've been curious to try it for some time.

Fantastic scotch, and just crazy good for the price, IMHO.

+1

What it lacks in complexity it makes up for in smoothness and clarity. VERY drinkable, and actually, a great "starter" for anyone wanting to test the single malt scotch waters.

So we're doing inventories, huh? Ok, I'm in...

In no particular order...

Old Pulteney 21 (just got this one, wonderful)
Laphroaig 18
Laphroaig 15
Laphroaig quarter cask (suprisingly smooth)
Springbank 15
Longrow 14
Aberlour 16
Clynelish 14
Bowmore 1969
Bowmore Darkest
Bowmore Legend
Glenfiddich Distillery Edition
Lagavulin 16 (smoothest ultrapeat I know)
Oban 14
Talisker Distillers Edition
Talsker 18
Highland Park 18
Balvenie Doublewood
Glenmorangie Port Finish
Macallan 12
Macallan 18
Macallan Cask Strength
Dalmore Distillers Dram 30
Glendronach 1968 25 (this is my personal shining star)

Then I also have one of those Mackinlay's "British Arctic Expedition 1907" special edition reissues, but that's a blended scotch. I only bring it up because it's really really good.

How do you like the Old Pulteney 21?

I can't find it anywhere around here, was thinking about ordering one.

I like it a lot. At least for me, it was worth the money.

I'll play the liquor cabinet inventory game!

Ardbeg 10
Balvenie Doublewood
Bowmore Darkest
Bunnahabhain 12
Glenmorangie 12
Lagavulin 16
Spice tree blend
Smokehead

I'm not usually much for blends but Spice Tree is delicious. Very nice blend of highland malts.

Lagavulin 16 is still king for me, though.

Aberlour A'Bunadh is fabulous.

The Triple is awesome. Definitely smoother than the typical Laphroaig malts but still has lots of the Laphroaig character. I'm planning to pick up a bottle if I ever get clear of this stomach bug...

The Quarter cask is very smooth, surprisingly for a Laphroaig. It's also very good, if my mind doesn't fail me Murray gave it a 96 in 2012.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask is a lot like the 10 year except it has much, much more oak to sort of round out the bottom end a bit. My favorite malt.

That right there should be one of the staple scotches in everyone's cabinet...

See my post above (and others' at this point)... the QC is VERY good and surprisingly smooth... maybe my favorite Laphroaig, actually.

Quarter Cask and 10 are my preferred Laphroaig's. Didn't care as much for the triple wood version personally, but it appears to be popular.

Anyone else get into Glenrothes? I tried the 1994(16 year i believe) last year and loved it. Certainly falls into that "dangerously drinkable" category in my opinion, but still very flavorful. I bought my father a bottle of their select reserve this year for christmas and am looking forward to having a taste!

I tried some at the distillery and liked it. Haven't bought any yet though.

Just on Friday, I tried Macallan 18, and the Macallan Cask Strength.

Absolutely delicious. I never had a chance to try them before, but holy damn.
The Cask Strength was strong; i could only have a glass or two. But, the 18? Currently my favourite.

Those are both very nice, and I agree, the Mac 18 is just lovely.
