NOT a club. No organization, no 'member's list', no rules. Just a bunch of SS MTBers. Roadies, fixties, etc. can hang but only MTBs in this mob(not a rule, more of a *guideline* ). Technically, I'm not even in as I haven't restored my 83 Pro Cruiser yet, but after riding a friend's brand-new Fisher single, I thought I'd see if there are any single-speeders here.
My bike(imaginary of course w/no pics): 83 Mert Lawwill Pro Cruiser, IRD titanium fork. Mafac cantis, Powerlite powerbend cruiser bars, lots of ancient parts. Pics to come...

So I have taken it for rides where I leave it in one gear all the time, to figure out what's workable.
I also still have my one-speed Bendix hub. I am not sure I want to go all the way to a fixie.
My daily driver only has three speeds. |

it's been years since i rode one (huffy bmx was my last, ha)
looks interesting, i can definitely see less mech. issues while mtn. biking, but i'm curious what gear ratio would allow one to climb as well as move fast

I also have a Rohloff Speedhub wheel that can be mounted on that bike.
A Kona Unit , my "car"
And my "winter" bike. Uphere in Montreal winter is brutal , can't take my good bikes.
I still have one bike with gear , a road bike. I only used it once this year.
Even mounted with Dura-Ace , can't beleive how it is so 20th century...
