Sir Paul McCartney to wed again

So browsing I saw a little headline and a pic. A look at the tiny pic and I thought, "oh another marriage to a girl half his age." Then clicked and read the article...

Report: Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell are engaged - Celebritology 2.0 - The Washington Post

51 yrs old! Wow, is that what 51 can look like now?

I hope they're happy together.

I wish them the best. She does appear to be a very attractive lady, too.

That was my thought.

And Sir Paul, not too shabby at 68 either.

pre-nup!

I was gonna make a tasteless joke like "what, is this one a quad-amputee"? But then I decided not too, because that would be jerky and tasteless.

oh, wait...

Yes.
Same here.

From what I understand about the dating scene for women in their 40's and 50's from some of my wife's friends. She has done well finding a young-at-heart 68 year old even if he were a retired beat policeman rather than a retired Beatle.

Proper diet, exercise, and rest can make a huge difference . . . especially when avoiding alcohol, cigarettes, etc. Yeah--not preaching, just saying it makes a difference.

Best wishes to them both.

How do you know she wasnt a boozehound in her youth?

But yeah, for 51 she looks pretty amazing. I'd tap that.

Of course we don't know--yet. Still, if she did it would have only been for a short time. Paul is a vegetarian and all that, right? I doubt that he would be interested in someone who didn't have a reasonably similar "clean" lifestyle.

I dont think Paul has necessarily lived the 'cleanest' of lifestyles, he is a rock star after all. I'm a vegetarian too, and I know Ive done some ****ed up things to my body.

I hope he has an iron clad pre nup this time. I felt really bad for him after his debacle with that C#%&. He was very lonely after losing his wife, whom he really loved. I hope this truly works out for him and she loves him for real, with no goldiggerness.

How did Sir Paul meet the vice-president of a freight trucking company in the first place?

You have a point, so maybe my speculation is off target. I will say that he doesn't look as good for his age as she does for hers, so that might say something.

My point being he may claim the health benefits of a vegetarian diet but he is a smoker, widely believed to be less-than-healthy behavior.

...maybe they ought to change the small print on the pack of cigs from
"may be harmful to your health"
to
"these will kill you"
