Does anyone skateboard? I just bought my first skateboard (Skate Shack deck, beat up old trucks from a friend, Mini Logo wheels, Lucky hardware, and some bearings... I forget what they are) and it's ridiculously fun. I go outside to skate like 2-3x a day. After about a week I can stationary ollie almost a foot, but that's about it so far. Next up is the moving ollie!

Just starting to come back after a radial head fracture.
So jealous of the skateboarders ability to bail though.
Aggrssive Skating is extremely under rated. |

Most of them were @$$es too if i remember correctly, now only a few kids do it and a lot of em still suck. I mean I never understood most kids try to land the trick but never land it. The only real skaters are vert, at least they can pull off the stuff. Street skaters always fall hahah
BMX and Mountain Biking all the way, not as juvenile and you can do more, skaters are just ballerinas on wheels
Albeit good luck skating tends to make perfectly normal people into the biggest d*****bags in the world, try to fight that and maybe you'll spend time actually skating instead of listening to blink 182, smoking pot all day while talking about how many of the kids at the park are "poseurs".

I totally understand your view of skaters, though. I've only met one or two skaters that have ever been nice.

Like Peavey said, good luck with skating, But im my eyes, BMX and MTB all the way. You don't know balls till you do a 10 foot drop to semi flat tranni with a one handed X. Now THATS hard ****.

Just playing with yah Peav | meh i tried mountain biking, BMX, and i've always had skateboards around the house to screw around on.
Rollerblading is FTW to me.
But i am noticing (just came back from a 8 year break) all the skateboarders rarely land any tricks and bail every single time.
Hard to bail on a bike also. |

| | | i skate in the summer just so i dont suck at snowbarding by winter
its all about balls
if u got balls and are willing to eat sh*t 10-20 times a day ur gonna be good
if ur afraid of falling and breaking a bone MOST LIKELY you'll suck
i was the one afraid so i went to snowboarding |

Freshman year I was still riding around on the bike I got in 4th grade. I found all the hugest ditches around my house and would spend hours going up and down.

I have the flick my ankles to get my feet off the pedals. These are so handy in racing though. Nothin sucks more then losing your footing 10 feet in the air and falling. |

Now I mainly do it for the social aspect because I have a lot of friends that skate. They are all really good. I am way more into longboarding and banana boarding these days, but I still bust out the old popsicle from time to time.

My pintail complete was about $240, but my shlong (yes, that is actually what it is called) only cost $80. The shlong is the same size as a regular skateboard. I want to buy a shortboard next, or maybe make myself another banana board and that wont cost more than $50 or so.

I skateboard, I can 360 flip, and I'm so far from an a$$. The reason for skating is simple, Its a great feeling when you land something big. It takes time to learn stuff you know.. falling is just a part of the learning process.. like getting tackled is a part of football. Eventually you can land stuff with no issues like Paul Rodriguez and PJ-Ladd. Quote: |

| Wow, stereotype much? It does not do that.. the kids are douches BEFORE they skateboard.. but skating is their way of putting it out there. Now take me and my friends for example, my cousin brought me a skateboard from Cali when I was 13. I started skating and loved it and just kept with it because it was something i was decent at and I introduced it to my friends and it was all just fun from there. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
