Schizophrenia is a pretty heavy-duty thing full of many symptoms. Street slang may be hard to understand, and it may even seem just plain weird but there's no way a professional is going to mistake street slang for schizophrenia.

^ no worries! I had skimmed through the article really quickly at first and made an incorrect assumption. Once I went back and read it more thoroughly I realized that it did actually make sense.

Ha, very true. I occasionally get instances where people totally miss the sarcastic elements of my weaker attempts at humour. But it isn't a UK/US thing, imo - there's folks on both side of the pond who do or don't see it, even when I think I'm being too obvious.
