There are racist white guys out there who say and do stupid things, there are racist black guys out there who do stupid things, there are racist oriental and asian people who do stupid things too. I don't think a new thread is needed every time some completely insignificant person says something that can be seen as racist. There ARE events with racial motives that are incredibly significant and worthy of discussion, some of which I wouldn't have been aware of without your posting Dr Cheese, however banal, insignificant (in the grand scheme of things) like this just dilute the impact of the truly important stories.

I used to teach at Murray State, and I thought it was a great school. The only downside was that it was in the middle of nowhere in Southwestern Kentucky. If it had been an hour closer to Nashville, I might never have left.
I'm not surprised the guy got suspended, the adminsitration that has been pretty good over the years.

Also, didn't DR. Cheese swear off the racial postings a while ago? |

I honestly don't care what you post. If I think it's worth commenting on, I will. If not I will ignore it.

Do you recall this guy ever having sounded this nuts? What he said is pretty much career suicide.

2. Oh my- if dude really said that, oh my. What a moron. I laughed- not at the statement, but at the very thought of someone in such a position doing something so foolish. Unimpressive sitcom material.
3. Did I really see the word *Oriental* up there? Sherman, set the way-back for the year 1953.

I have to disagree w/ you on MSU's location though Cheese. For my taste it's just right. Love that it's kinda "out of the way" and so close to LBL. Hopefully I'll be moving back there this Summer.

I do miss working at a school with a football team. Fall can be a little boring where I am now.

| | that video LIES | | Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Northern California | | To clarify my statement: I just have not heard the term *Oriental* in years- I do not believe it is inherently racial/offensive, just dated(to my ears). I find it humorous that we as a society/species/gang need to replace such a word in an effort to feel good about ourselves. NOT pointing fingers at anyone.
