and mechanically separated chicken.

So, I got one of these little, delectable meat sticks in a christmas gift. Haven't had one since I was young. Never really looked at the ingredients though.

What exactly is mechanically separated chicken you ask?
Basically its chicken carcases ground into a paste. Mmmm mmm.

Should I eat the other one?

Absolutely.

I, too, got one for Christmas, and promptly consumed it.

No regrets.

This. Although rather gross sounding, some of those parts are very healthy. People these days don't eat much liver, brain, kidney etc., but organ meats are often more nutritious than muscle and connective tissue (the meat we normally eat). Liver for example has way more vitamins, to the point where it can be toxic (bear liver, vitamin A toxicity).
