Thanks for your prayers...
Part of this issue (to greatly summarize) is this:
My wife's nephew
(to remain unnamed) decided to help our church last year by helping us with his store's discount (again-no name for the store) to purchase a new mixer. He said it would be a custom order-wait time 6 months. It's been over a year!
He gave us a receipt with his name as the purchaser as proof. He assured us everything was legit. Well, I had some words with him on July 1st and kindly asked him to step on it. Of course, he stated that the delay wasn't his fault. (Blah, blah, etc.) My Pastor gave him
30 days to come up with the mixer or a refund. I sent him a text msg that I would not call, text, or email him until his 30 days are up.
Just within the last few days he called his best friend (a mutual friend of mine-a keyboardist) to vent that I am
causing him trouble about this issue. After much discussion, our mutual friend broke off friendship with my wife's nephew due to previous questionable issues and the fact that he believes my version of the story. We both have agreed that my wife's nephew is acting strangely and his actions have been unacceptable. We believe him to be a pathological liar-meaning he probably needs professional help.
The issue now is that he is texting me with foul texts and states that I have called him a thief and a liar. (I haven't done so yet. I need hard evidence-but have decided not to approach him any further.) To boot, he is willing to tell my wife I was seen with another woman and say that I have been cheating on her.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The problem with this is my wife and I have been having our own issues. She hasn't been talking to me for the last month, except for the occasional argument. Adding fuel to the fire would not be good right now. Arguing about his comments to my wife would not be very pleasant, and I don't want to go ballistic on this 24 year old idiot nephew. (Doesn't really mean I don't want to...) But I won't stoop down to his level.
Thus your continued prayers would be greatly appreciated.
