Smart Phone Vs. Hackers

Sign in to disble this ad
It would seem to me that web browsing via "smart phones" would be more secure than a desk or laptop. Am I blissfully ignorant? I use opera mini on my blackberry and sometime use the opera web browser on my Wii. Is it possible for someone to get personal info ect. off such browsers?

It's possible to snoop data off any wireless signal assuming you have a receiver on location. If your wireless connection is not encrypted (open connection), i know of people who can easily identify, at minimum, the sites you are visiting.

Personal information is probably not so far off after that. Use a wired line if you're doing online banking or stuff like that.
