For Christmas this year I bought my girlfriend of about a year a sterling silver necklace from Tiffanys, and I really want to surprise her. I also bought her a blanket kind of like this: http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden...6/product.html
I have a tan one and she always uses it to stay warm and loves the feel of it, so I bought her a mint green one of her own. I want to surprise by first showing the blanket, then somehow incorporating the necklace in with it.
The idea I had was to fold the boxed necklace in the middle of the blanket, and then wrap the blanket as is. So that way she'll open it thinking all I bought her was a stupid blanket, and then once Im done having fun Ill tell her to open the blanket and make sure its the right size
This is pretty clever, but Im sure there has to be something even better that I could do. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe secretive present giving ideas you are doing or have done in the past?

When she arrives, have a container full of ice, covered in red goo. Hide the necklace in there. When it comes time to pull the finger out of the ice, she'll find the necklace.
Terrible idea I know, but I've always wanted to do something like this to my girlfriend, but I'm an ass.

Good idea. I always like the sneaky surprise route. One year I bought my ex some boots she wanted, and I insisted, after she opened them, that she try them on. Inside the boot was a box with a very nice ring in it.
For my gf's birthday I bought her a stripper pole. We went out to a gig the night before her b-day, and knowing that we'd be home after midnite (officially her b-day) I had our room mate set the pole up in the living room with a big bow on it. We got home, came in through the garage door and.. Bam! Shock & delight.
Im pretty broke atm, and couldnt get her much for Xmas. But she did want some funk Cds, which I wrapped and then taped tot he inside of a much larger box, and then wrapped that.

She didnt know I remembered and I never made mention of it. There was a whole thread on which one of three I should have bought her. I have an awesome girlfriend.

It gives me as much happiness seeing the surprised reaction as it does the person receiving the gift. Creativity is really important to make an impression

-T | I like that idea. I have a surprise planned for my girlfriend this year and she has surprised me quite a bit so far this year. For the last three days (starting on the 13th) a different present has shown up at my place. My amazing skills of deduction have led me to believe that she is doing her own little version of the 12 days of Christmas.

It was ten bucks. I gave her some every-ready batteries with it and made her put them in (where i stuck the ipod). the look on her face was absolutely classic....
She was like "Oh!....thanks..." lol
