Snow bombardment in WI!

Sign in to disble this ad
So, pretty much the whole southeastern portion of the state is supposed to get bombed with snow. Expecting up to 20"! 10-18" for sure. 35+ mph wind gusts with drifts up to who knows how high. It's supposed to be freakin' trecherous blizzard-like conditions.

I'm pumped. Bring it on, Wisconsin!

I guess I'll believe it when I see it - I have no doubt that there will be an appreciable amount of snow, but literally every time it's snowed this winter the weather people have billed it as if the world were going to end. It's been a letdown every time.

We'll see, though. I'll be staying in tonight and watching a movie!

Man, I can't wait for some apocalyptic snow, myself. Last Thursday, we were promised 8-10 inches, with room for plenty more. Woke up friday morning.... A measly 2.

Heck, if we get 15" inches over here, doesn't that mean you get 4-5 feet in your state?

That's three times Wisconsin was supposed to get monumental dumps of snow, and the previous times this year southern Michigan barely got 4 inches from BOTH storms. And then melted away in a week. This last storm last week, has already melted completely away.

What a lame cycle of weather. What a weak winter.

How am I supposed to go baja 4x4 through my streets when there's nothing to drift around corners on???

Haha, Southern Michigan tends to get what hit Chicago. I'm in a Detroit Suburb so we're fare enough away to not catch Lake Effect. Lame. I love those days where it's like, okay, not going anywhere at all today. For any reason.

Then I usually go out anyway, and enjoy the chaos.

I opened this thread thinking the title was "Shore Bombardment in WWII." I need to pay better attention.

For some reason I thought this was a thread about the Wii. Tiger Woods golf by the way. Check that out. I'm gonna play a real round of golf on Monday because I have the day off. This is going to be after a morning surf session. It's a little cold out here lately. I might need to wear a sweatshirt.

Of course the same guys who predict this are claiming they can tell us what the weather will be one hundred years from now due to Global Warming. And what it's effects will be

Now, now, be fair, Chuck Gaitica and Jerry Hodak aren't the ones predicting what the weather will be like in a hundred years.

Last night they said 1/10" of ice and 3-4" of snow by 11 this morning. I walked out the door this morning... 1/2" of slush, tops. Now they're saying 2-4 today, 5-8 over night. We'll see about that.

Actually, the only battle damage the USS Wisconsin sustained was from a shore battery during Korea. A 155mm shell hit the Wisconsin, and then all 9 16" guns proceeded to relegate the 155 crew to nothingness.
