OK, seriously, if the weather channel or my local TV stations put a graphic with that title on-screen I'm going to hurt someone.
That being said, how's everyone handling this "historic" storm so far? It hasn't affected me yet, will probably hit here sometime tonight. We're pretty used to being dumped on by lake effect snow here, so it shouldn't be that big of a headache but we'll see. I have to make an 8:30am flight on Thursday that I hope doesn't get cancelled!

It took me about a half an hour to get through check out. At 8:30, on a Monday! I honestly have no idea why a snow storm makes people need more toilet paper?

I'd almost rather have more snow rather than ice. On the other hand, the last time we were supposed to get only a dusting, we ended up with almost a foot worth of snow. Guess we'll see what track the storm actually takes.

I'm in STL area, they're still saying it's going to be awful. Hope they're overreacting.

windshield. More stuff coming tonight.
Hype? Couldn't be, be sure to WATCH AT 11.
On a sidebar, the RI Restaurant Association complained a
few years ago to the 4 major media TV networks that their predictions just killed the weekend restaurant business.
The station's predicted in total 228 inches of snow aggregate
that year. Actual snowfall, less than 35 inches. Yeah, they
hurt a lot of people for those ratings.
In reality, the March and April floods we had here were a
much more devastating event.
Yeah, gas for snowblower. Check.
14 loaves of bread. Check.
5 Gals of Milk. Check.
15 Gals of Water. Check.
One huge bundle of TP. Check.
Beer. Aw crikes, see ya, I gotta get to the store.

Hype? Couldn't be, be sure to WATCH AT 11. | We had 2 inches by 10 am, probably about 7 or 8 inches at least at this point. I went home around noonish and there was 4 or 5 inches on my car and terrible roads. Hasn't turned to slush yet, but I'm hopeful for tomorrow evening.
Either way, it's a fairly big pair of storms... |

-Mike | Bad 80s music? I can go to a number of clubs for that. All the Seagulls in these parts flock around the K-12 schools where food, for them, is plentiful.

Already have about 3 inches and the snow is suppose to keep falling until about 3:00 PM on Wednesday. Wind is whipping-up, about 30 mph causing blizzard/white out conditions.
My kids schools are closed tomorrow and it's only the 5th time since 1885, so that tells you something about what is expected. On the news they just reported a commute of 4 hours that's normally about 40 minutes.
Yes, it is getting ugly!!
The family and I are warming up some home-made chili, Texas toast and hunkering down.

But around here, that only happens if you live in the mountains, you lie about it, and no one else lives nearby so that you get away with your lie. One dude who works here gets snowed in at least 3 times every winter.
