So a rumour going around, was that this drummer from Humber (my school) made it huge. Which is why he just up and left one day.

Then TODAY i was watching THIS video and saw him on the kit!

He plays for Drake now!
I'VE PLAYED WITH THIS GUY! It was just mind-blowing.

Have any of you guys been through this?

Apparently my stepdad was like best friends with our very own Chris Fitzgerald in college and helped him learn music theory.

Eh, that's pretty much standard operating procedure as far as I can see.

This pic is great! I saw the normal version in the newspaper and was crying both for fear of molestation by airport security, and the look on the guy's face. It was both funny, and disturbing.

Check out guitar player in white Tshirt below

I told him, "you'll never work in this town again" if he quit us, and I was right. Except for Cobo Hall, Joe Louis Arena, he's mostly been playing all over the country...

How is this thread about you?

Mark posted a thread in OT about an old drummer that made it big... which IS music related.

My personal friend Marc plays guitar with Enrique Eglesias...you would have seen him on Dancing with the Stars and the AMA's last week.

My good friend Derek has toured the world and been on TV numerous times, drumming with Unearth, Kingdom of Sorrow, and Seemless...

My friend Jeremy just shared a stage with Ringo, and tours constantly with Booker T.

I've played on TV and had music featured in movies in multiple projects.

Shared a stage with all those cats, numerous times...

Doesn't mean you "made it huge", but that you can hang and get paid. Some moreso than others... Pretty awesome just the same.

I used to be in a band with Howard Jones, the singer for Killswitch Engage. We always knew he was great, and hated it when he moved to the East coast . . . great move for him, though.

Funny you should mention, as I am friends with Jesse Leach, KSE's original singer, who was also in Seemless with my friend Derek... wow, small world.

I played a gig with Kurt Cobain when I was in high school. I thought he was a punk, so we didn't invite him the next time we played that venue.

Keep in mind, this was me and a couple buddies and all we did was play very terrible covers from AC/DC, Winger, Whitesnake, and a few other 80's bands. Our "venue" was the South Bay Grange and Olympia Grange Hall.
