Hey everybody check out the new Lady in my life...

just adopted her from the German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California.....

She was obviously abused afraid of everything including the camera...getting a pic is hard when she sees me pull out the camera she runs...

My last Shepherd was bitten by a venemous snake about 4 years ago and i swore after that i would never have another one.....but after my recent divorce....the two of us just seemed to have something in common and i felt so sorry for her after i saw her on their website....

went to meet her a few weeks later and fell in love...

Great looking pup! And good on you for rescuing her and giving her a loving home!
Here's my buddy Tanner that I got from a husky rescue a few years ago. Best dog ever (aren't they all though?).

I appreciate anyone who rescues/adopts animals. I worked in a shelter briefly and it's not an easy job.

Every cat I've owned was adopted. My first cat (I remember) was in a cage on the side of the road, my second cat was adopted through the SPCA and died within a week, and my current cat was adopted after the second cat passed. He ****ing rules. When I saw him in the cage, he turned upside down, started purring, and was kneeding the air.

Pet adoption is too cool.

My wife and I have 4 cats, all were older when adopted. It's too easy to adopt the kittens and even though we missed out on watching the kitties grow up we did save 4 cats who were less likely to be adopted.

Congrats on a very pretty lady dog.

I'm a strong advocate of adopting pets, and that gives me another excuse/opportunity to post my kids, yet again :

I rescued both of my cats... the bond you eventually forge with a pet you've rescued from dire circmstances is usually one of the strongest.

I'm glad she found a good home, and I'm sure you two will be getting along swimmingly very soon!

My sister has a rescued dog. Its sad how scared he is of everything. I love him. He's a sweetie when he gets used to you. Otherwise he just hides.

All our pets are either adopted, or the spawn of adopted pets. Our two cats were adopted about 5-6 years ago, and our dogs are the offspring of an abandoned dog who was pregnant when we got her. She now resides with my sister and her best friend at school, but we've got our 3 dogs still with us, and they're awesome.

D'AWWWWW. German Shepards are some of my favorite dogs, and I am not that big of a dog person, so that says a lot. Good on you for adopting, man.

did you then proceed to feed it to a boa constrictor?

Congratulations!!
Our "puppies" are rescue dogs, twin brothers, and complete mutts. And best-dogs-ever, except for maybe the 2 dogs we had before them (who were also rescue)

Good job on the rescue...or congrats? I guess both work.

I'm a huge advocate of rescuing animals...there are just so many in need. I could go on a rant....but I wont.

Here's my rescue pup. He was only 6 weeks old when I got him...semi long story, but I'll just leave it at this pup loves me as much as I love him. He's my best pal.

He was a goofy little fella...

..who grew up to be a handsome dog.
