I think the spent so much time and energy into the creature creation and the environment... they forgot to program an actual GAME in the game 
I hope they come up with a plot for the expansion pack |

However, the last patch has turned the game into a crash-o-matic and I'm still waiting for a correction.

Aside from playing God, the game is kind of senseless IMHO...just like most of the Sim-series games (SimAnt, the SimCities, SimCopter, etc.) I've played (although I did enjoy SimAnt a whole lot). But, hey, there's room for potential.
I've also learned not to judge a game by it's demo version...otherwise I would've hated most of the DOOM series.
